Blanket cylinder 1 is mounted rotatably by bearings 2 on shaft 3 and is tripped into contact with and away from plate cylinder 30 and impression cylinder 31 by rotation of shaft 3, which is mounted by means of cam discs 5 and rollers 6, 9 in side walls 8. Each disc 5 is held between two fixed rollers 6 and one spring- loaded roller 9, and is rotated by engagement of lever 26 and movable member 17 when cam 32 is turned. The member 17 is separated from an arm 16, extending from shaft 3, by an adjustable screw 18, by which smaller rotations of shaft 3 to adjust printing pressure can be made. The cam discs 5 have profiles which co-operate with the rollers 6, 9 to make possible both tripping and adjustment.
