[Also in Division C3] A solid medicament for oral administration to rumerant domestic animals which comprises a therapeutically active substance em bedded in a protective material consisting essentially of an imidamine polymer of the general formula:- where R is the radical of a monomer copolymerisable with maleic anhydride, R1 and R11 are aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radicals of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, m is an integer greater than 2, and n is an integer of 2 to 6. Suitable thenapeutically active .substances include 2, 2'- dihydroxy-3, 3'-dinitro-5, 5'-dichloro-diphenyl, 2', 5'-dichloro-4'-nitrosalicyclanilide and N- hydroxynaphthalimido-diethylene phosphate.
