Summary:Racemic compounds of the general formula <FORM:1079989/C2/1> (wherein R3 stands for a C3- 5 cycloalkyl radica and n stands for 1 or 2), their carboxylic esters and acid addition salts of the alcohols and esters are prepared by reacting a compound of the formula <FORM:1079989/C2/2> (wherein A stands for the group <FORM:1079989/C2/3> or -CHOH.CH2X, wherein X stands for a halogen atom) with R3NH2, optionally followed by conversion to a salt, ester or salt of an ester. The compounds of the invention are useful in the treatment or prophylaxis of heart diseases and in the treatment of hypertension and phaeochromocytoma, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them together with a diluent or carrier.
