Summary: | 1,009,820. Napkins. MOLNLYCKE A.B. Sept. 8, 1964, No. 36726/64. Heading A3V. A diaper consists of two outer layers between which is a layer of absorbent material which forms a cushion at one end of the diaper separated from the thinner part by a fluid barrier. The outer lays 1, 2 may comprise non-woven fibrous material and material of high west strength such as creped paper respectively. The absorbent layer including the cushion may comprise defibrated cellulose material. The cushion 12 may comprise absorbent material of the thinner portion 13 and a filling of other absorbent material. The fluid barrier may be formed by compressing the transverse region 11 or by inserting therein a hydrophobic material such as paraffin emulsion or a substance increasing viscosity such as soluble cellulose ether or an algenate. The layers are joined along transverse end lines by means of a water resistant adhesive. An extension 8 provides a fastening area. Lateral edges are overlapped, joined by adhesive and compressed. The absorption layer may be bonded to layer 2 which may consist of hydrophobic paper. |
