L'invention vise principalement un procédé de préparation d'un semi-produit comprenant une résine à base de PAEK et des fibres de renfort, comprenant les étapes de : a. Préparation d'une dispersion comprenant une résine à base de PAEK sous forme pulvérulente dispersée dans une phase aqueuse comprenant un tensioactif ; b. Mise en contact des fibres de renfort avec ladite dispersion aqueuse ; c. Séchage des fibres imprégnées de dispersion ; et d. Chauffage des fibres imprégnées à une température suffisante pour la fusion de la résine, de sorte à former un semi-produit, caractérisé en ce que le tensioactif est un tensioactif thermiquement stable. Elle vise par ailleurs la dispersion utile dans ledit procédé. Enfin, elle vise les semi-produits susceptibles d'être obtenus ainsi que leur utilisation pour la fabrication de matériaux composites. A process for the preparation of a semifinished product including a PAEK-based resin and reinforcing fibers, including the stages of: a. preparation of a dispersion including a PAEK-based resin in the pulverulent form dispersed in an aqueous phase including a surfactant; b. bringing the reinforcing fibers into contact with said aqueous dispersion; c. drying the fibers impregnated with dispersion; and d. heating the impregnated fibers to a temperature sufficient for the melting of the resin, so as to form a semifinished product, wherein the surfactant is a thermally stable surfactant. Also, semifinished products capable of being obtained from the process and their use in the manufacture of composite materials.
