The unit for indicating the temperature of ceramic base is doped with phosphorus in order to emit photons by luminescence. The method comprises: mechanically treating a part (1); pre-oxidizing the part; and depositing a layer (3) comprising a unit for indicating a temperature reached by the part under operation. The layer comprising the indication unit is deposited by thermal projection by atmospheric hot plasma, and a chemical vapor deposition by an electron beam. The layer comprising the indication unit is a layer containing oxide deposited by a sol-gel. The layer deposited by the sol-gel undergoes a heat treatment. The unit for indicating the temperature of ceramic base is doped with phosphorus such as rare and/or metal oxides in order to emit photons by luminescence when the layer is illuminated by a light source. The part is mechanically treated by sanding with corundum before depositing the layer. The preoxidation step comprises subjecting the part to an oxidizing atmosphere and a temperature of 600-950[deg] C for 30-90 minutes. An independent claim is included for a part of turboshaft engine.
