L'invention concerne un couvercle (2) pour un contenant (4) d'emballage comportant d'une part un élément annulaire (6) en matière plastique, de préférence thermoplastique, comprenant une ouverture, des moyens de fixation agencés pour coopérer avec des moyens de fixation complémentaires ménagés sur le contenant (4), une face intérieure destinée à être tournée vers le contenant (4), une face extérieure opposée à la face intérieure et présentant une surface d'appui annulaire, et d'autre part un panneau (8) comprenant une face intérieure destinée à être tournée vers le contenant (4), et une face extérieure opposée à la face intérieure. La face intérieure du panneau (8) est rapportée, et fixée, sur la surface d'appui, de manière à obturer au moins en partie l'ouverture de l'élément annulaire (6).
