Summary: | The coating (13) has a striking layer (16) whose front face is in contact with a ball and rear face is in contact with a deformation layer (17). The striking layer and the deformation layer are made of a compact cellular thermoplastic elastomer material such that the coating has apparent density of about 0.3 to 0.75. A bonding layer (18) made of thermoplastic material extends from the deformation layer opposite to the striking layer, where the bonding layer includes adhesive for fixing the coating on a table tennis racket.
