Summary:The device has a measuring unit i.e. differential current measuring sensor (1), composed of a toroidal core (6) and a secondary winding (8) and measuring differential current (Id). A differential defect processing circuit (2) is connected to the measuring unit to provide trigger signal (D) to an actuator unit i.e. tripping relay (4). An inhibition module (14) is connected to a detection circuit (13) to inhibit supplying of the trigger signal provided by the processing circuit when the detection circuit detects the presence of high energy signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electric interruption apparatus, comprising main drivers (2) a differential protection method.
