Summary:The compartment has a seat (S) e.g. driver front seat, comprising a seat supporting device with a support element i.e. upper arm (5), that is connected to rear surface of a backrest (2) of the seat and to a lateral side (Clg) of the compartment. The arm has a position adjustment unit i.e. connecting-rod system, for adjusting the backrest while maintaining same distance between the seat and the lateral side. The supporting device has a lower arm (6) connecting a lower part of a base (1) to the lateral side or to a floor pan of the compartment. The upper arm or lower arm is made of aluminum.
