L'invention concerne un maître cylindre (1) d'un véhicule automobile. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne un piston (4,5) du maître cylindre qui comporte un premier renfoncement (24) et un deuxième renfoncement (27) réalisés en amont d'un orifice (13,14) du piston. Le premier renfoncement et le deuxième renfoncement délimitent un espace à l'intérieur duquel peut être stocker un fluide hydraulique de freinage en vue d'être prélevé par un dispositif annexe de freinage, du type E.S.P.. The cylinder has a body (2) drilled with a bore relative to an axis (6) of the cylinder. A primary piston (4) slides in the bore and defines a primary chamber (7). The piston has an orifice emerging in a wall (17) formed by the bore and in the chamber. A primary sealing joint (18) is housed in a groove of the wall and closes the passage of brake liquid across the orifice by cooperating with the piston. The piston has recesses (24, 27) formed in upstream of the orifice along a forward direction of the piston in braking phase, where the joint cooperates with the piston via the recesses.
