Summary:One or more fragrance reservoirs (40-42) are activated by the release mechanism for discharge of one or more selected fragrances. The release mechanism contains several heating components, each in thermic connection with at least a part of the chemical fragrances in the reservoirs. The control unit regulates the heating components in order to heat the selected fragrances. This heating causes an enhanced release by evaporation or sublimation of the fragrance substances. The control unit is fitted in a housing (8) and by means of a plug can be connected to a conventional electricity supply. The release mechanism incorporates a wick (6) for moving the fragrances from the reservoirs to the vicinity of a heating component. The wick can be made of natural or synthetic fiber materials, such as fiberglass, cotton, graphite, mineral fibers and polyester. The wick extends outwards through a through passage (37). The heating components are provided on the outside of the through passage and are in thermic contact with its interior. Volatile fragrance, as the result of heating, can thus be liberated via an upper part of the upper side of the through passage. The fragrances can be liquid, gel or solid. At room temperature, there is a low release of fragrance, but at above room temperature there is increased evaporation or sublimation.
