Summary: | The procedure consists of introducing a liquid hydrocarbon charge containing carbon oxysulfide and an aqueous solution of alcanolamines into a membrane contact unit (CM) with at least one membrane (M). The aqueous solution of alcanolamines is separated from the charge by the membrane, which is selected so that the carbon oxysulfide contained in the charge migrates into the solution. The aqueous solution and hydrocarbon charge with reduced carbon oxysulfide are then extracted from the membrane unit; the hydrocarbon charge is mixed with a solvent containing sulfur to remove mercaptans, and the aqueous solution is regenerated by distillation. |
