The seal consists a fixing component and an elastically deformable tubular element (5) of an elastomer or thermoplastic polymer material, reinforced by a continuous or discontinuous insert (10) which is also elastically-deformable and compensates over time for the relaxation of the tubular element. The insert can be in the form of knitted (12) or braided filaments or a spiral spring, and it can be fitted with an inner rubber stop to limit its deflection. Joint d'étanchéité, en particulier pour un ouvrant dans le domaine de l'automobile ou du bâtiment par exemple, le joint comprenant au moins une partie de fixation (3) et une partie d'étanchéité élastiquement déformable (5) réalisée en un matériau polymère, caractérisé en ce que la partie d'étanchéité (5) comporte un renfort sous la forme d'un insert (10) élastiquement déformable et apte à compenser dans le temps la relaxation de la partie d'étanchéité (5) du joint (1).
