It occupies two positions - a first position in which it extends from one end (7b) of the guide tube to the other (7a), and a second in which is is pushed out of the guide tube by the inserted shaft. Dispositif de protection (1) pour joint d'étanchéité (19) d'un tube guide (7) d'arbre (6) de boîte de vitesses dans le carter d'embrayage (2) de celle-ci, caractérisé en ce qu'il s'étend jusqu'à l'extrémité (7a) du tube guide (7) par laquelle l'arbre (6) est introduit.
