Data identifying a document to be restored is transmitted from a terminal (9) connected to the smart card to the server (2). In response a decryption key specific to the document is transmitted to the smart card. Within the smart card there is identification data for readers, so that fraudulent use of the smart card can be determined on the basis of data identifying readers which is stored within the smart card.
