The invention concerns a compressed air brake booster (1) wherein no resonance noise occurs even when the brake pedal (12) is suddenly depressed. The noise is absorbed by means of an outer covering (13) of a return spring (8) of the mobile partition (5) separating the front chamber (2) from the rear chamber (4) of the brake booster. Thus, the invention states the source of the problem and its solution On réalise un servofrein (1) pneumatique dans lequel aucun bruit de résonance n'apparaît même lors d'un appui brusque sur la pédale de frein (12). L'étouffement du bruit est réalisé grâce à un recouvrement (13) externe d'un ressort de rappel (8) de la cloison mobile (5) séparant la chambre avant (2) de la chambre arrière (4) du servofrein. Ainsi l'invention présente la source du problème et une solution pour résoudre ce problème.
