Summary: | The automobile clutch (3) is supplied with control signals for switching the clutch between different positions, in which the drive torque provided by the engine (2) is transmitted to the gearbox (4), the drive between the engine and the gearbox is interrupted, or in which the drive is transmitted to allow a creep movement of the automobile, in dependence on monitored operating parameters. Par un embrayage piloté électriquement et/ ou hydrauliquement et son procédé de mise en oeuvre, l'invention vise à accroître la sûreté fonctionnelle et la précision d'un tel dispositif, en particulier par une automatisation poussée de sa manoeuvre.Le dispositif de pilotage (13) de l'embrayage (3), ou d'un dispositif d'accouplement semblable, est capable d'émettre des signaux qui, sous des conditions préfixées, amènent l'embrayage (3) selon une caractéristique préfixée à une position prédéfinie, en particulier en tenant compte de paramètres de marche du véhicule muni de l'embrayage.
