Summary:In a gear pump or motor, a housing (11, Fig.1) is constructed as a multi-wall extruded profile and has recesses which form pressure chambers (25, 26) disposed in two concentric regions around a driving mechanism chamber (20). The pressure chambers (25, 26) can be connected to one another or to the driving mechanism chamber (20), in a manner specific to the application, by junction ducts (37, Fig.3) in one of the end-face closing covers of the housing (11). Regulating valves (28) can be fastened, and made contact with hydraulically, in receiving bores (30) which provide a connection between a number of pressure medium chambers (25, 26). The gear pump or motor has particularly low operating noise.
