Summary:The sensor is intended to be placed in the path of a laser light beam to mark a position with respect to a line which is defined by the laser beam. A plate (70,72,74,76) of transparent material is doped with a fluorescent coloured material. The plate has a refractive index with fluctuations less than 10E-4. The plate has two major surfaces which are planar and parallel with a periphery, and have a surface roughness which is less than 0.05 um. Photosensitive detectors are mounted on the lateral edges of the plate. These may be silicon devices, one being mounted in each edge. By use of several such plates with detectors, it is possible to use the laser beam to ensure the alignment of a number of components. L'invention concerne un senseur optique destiné à être placé sur le trajet d'un faisceau laser pour repérer une position par rapport à une ligne optique concrétisée par ce faisceau laser, comportant:- une plaque (70, 72, 74, 76) de matériau transparent, dopée avec un colorant fluorescent, dont l'indice de réfraction présente des fluctuations inférieures à 10**-4, cette plaque ayant deux faces principales planes et parallèles, à une frange, présentant une rugosité inférieure à 0,05 mum,- des détecteurs photosensibles disposés sur les bords latéraux de la plaque.L'invention a également pour objet un dispositif optique pour la mesure de déplacement comportant une pluralité (70, 72, 74, 76) de senseurs optiques tels que ci-dessus, destinés à être disposés sur le trajet d'un même faisceau laser (78).
