Retractable telescopic antenna for a motor vehicle

The antenna (11) includes a plurality of tubular segments (12, 25a, 25b, 25c, 25d) assembled together telescopically. A first inner segment (12) is mounted so as to slide within a housing formed inside the bodywork (14) of the vehicle. An outer segment (25d) carries a solid piece (26) at its extremity. The antenna includes motorised means for deployment and folding away, the control for which is placed within the vehicle. The housing situated within the bodywork includes an end part (20) opening out within the vehicle constituting a cavity situated below the outer surface of the bodywork (14). In the completely folded-away position of the antenna (11), the end piece (26) is retracted within the cavity (20), below the outer surface of the bodywork (14). For preference, the cavity (20) is formed within a housing (16) fixed onto the bodywork (14) in the region of an aperture (15) and including a cover (21) which is drawn into closing position by springs. The antenna (11) according to the invention, completely retractable, makes it possible to preserve the appearance of the vehicle and prevent any damage by miscreants. L'antenne (11) comporte une pluralité de tronçons tubulaires (12, 25a, 25b, 25c, 25d) montés de façon télescopique. Un premier tronçon interne (12) est monté coulissant à l'intérieur d'un logement ménagé à l'intérieur de la carrosserie (14) du véhicule. Un tronçon externe (25d) porte à son extrémité une pièce pleine (26). L'antenne comporte un moyen de déploiement et de repli motorisé dont la commande est placée à l'intérieur du véhicule. Le logement situé à l'intérieur de la carrosserie comporte une partie d'extrémité (20) débouchant à l'extérieur du véhicule constituant une cavité située en-dessous de la surface externe de la carrosserie (14). Dans la position de repli complet de l'antenne (11), la pièce d'extrémité (26) se trouve escamotée à l'intérieur de la cavité (20), en-dessous de la surface externe de la carrosserie (14). De préférence, la cavité (20) est ménagée à l'intérieur d'un boîtier (16) fixé sur la carrosserie (14) au niveau d'une ouverture (15) et comportant un couvercle (21) qui est rappelé en position de fermeture par des ressorts. L'antenne (11) suivant l'invention, entièrement escamotable permet de préserver l'esthétique du véhicule et d'empêcher toute détérioration par des personnes malveillantes.
