In order to increase the effectiveness of a booster 10 the back chamber 18 of which contains an auxiliary motor member 28 including a pressure chamber 30 connected to a pressure source 34 through a control device 36, the latter includes a valve 38 which is normally closed, through which the source 34 may communicate with the pressure chamber 30, and means 40 for actuating this valve, which means automatically command the latter to open when the pressure in the back chamber 18 exceeds the pressure in the front chamber 16 of the booster by a given value. Such an assembly may in particular be used on a motor vehicle braking system. Afin d'augmenter l'efficacité d'un servomoteur d'assistance 10 dont la chambre arrière 18 contient un organe moteur auxiliaire 28 comportant une chambre de pression 30 reliée à une source de pression 34 au travers d'un dispositif de commande 36, ce dernier comprend une valve 38 normalement fermée, au travers de laquelle la source 34 peut communiquer avec la chambre de pression 30, et des moyens d'actionnement 40 de cette valve, qui en commandent automatiquement l'ouverture lorsque la pression dans la chambre arrière 18 excède d'une valeur donnée la pression dans la chambre avant 16 du servomoteur. Un tel ensemble peut notamment être utilisé sur un système de freinage de véhicule automobile.
