According to the invention, liquid metal is supplied to the casting space laterally, through the stationary end walls 13, above the plane P passing through the axes of the rolls 22, and below the level 4 of the surface of the liquid-metal bath. L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif d'alimentation en métal liquide d'une installation de coulée continue de produits minces en lingotière à paroi mobile, notamment de coulée entre cylindres. Selon l'invention, on alimente en métal liquide l'espace de coulée latéralement, à travers les parois fixes d'extrémité 13, au-dessus du plan P passant par les axes des cylindres 22, et en-dessous du niveau 4 de la surface du bain de métal liquide.
