Summary:The invention relates to a safety valve for an oil well, comprising, in conventional fashion, a movable stopper member, an internal tubular slide 9, a slide return spring 10, hydraulic means for displacing the slide downwards by pressurising a control fluid, a system for anchoring the valve into a receiving sleeve 1 and sealing gaskets 15, 16 in contact with the said receiving sleeve 1. The valve is designed to be able to be equipped, at the bottom part, either with a shutter-type stopper assembly, or with a ball-type stopper assembly, which may be screwed onto a lower valve sleeve 7; the slide 9 is capable of actuating both the shutter of the first assembly and the ball of the second; a removable sealing gasket, specific to each assembly, is located at the end of the sleeve 7 to provide sealing upon closure.
