Assembly of complementary elements for building a lightweight and dismantleable shelter, comprising a series of metal tubes intended to form the corner uprights and the longitudinal members of such a shelter. This assembly also comprises two long runners 7 intended to be laid on the ground so as to form the lower edges of the lateral sides. These runners are each fitted, at both ends, with a vertical socket capable of receiving the foot of the tube 2a, 2b forming the corresponding corner post. In fact, these runners are ballasted or consist of a U-shaped section capable of receiving, on site, ballasting elements, which enables the built framework, which may receive any desired roofing, to be perfectly secured in position. The shelters thus built may be used as garden shelters or for sheltering the tables of an open air restaurant, or players practising on a golf practice ground.
