Summary:The installation comprises a stall accessible to an animal, and means for automatically positioning the teat cups on the teats of an animal located in the stall; these means comprise four independent manipulating arms 20, 40 each carrying one cup 21, 41 at its end, each arm being controlled independently of the others to bring the teat cup which it carries onto a corresponding teat of the animal. The arms can be divided into two lower arms 40 which, in the original position, are in a housing 60 underneath the floor of the stall, and two lateral arms 20, one on each side of the stall.
