Summary:The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a solution of metals of low reducing ability chosen from lead, cobalt, cadmium and gallium with an acid containing a nonoxidising anion, characterised in that the said metal is reacted with a solution of an acid containing a nonoxidising anion in the presence, as catalyst, of finely divided particles of a material which has a low overvoltage for evolution of hydrogen. This process makes it possible in particular to prepare aqueous solutions of fluoborates and sulphates of these metals. L'INVENTION A POUR OBJET UN PROCEDE DE PREPARATION D'UNE SOLUTION DE METAUX PEU REDUCTEURS CHOISIS PARMI LE PLOMB, LE COBALT, LE CADMIUM ET LE GALLIUM AVEC UN ACIDE A ANION NON OXYDANT, CARACTERISE EN CE QUE L'ON FAIT REAGIR LEDIT METAL AVEC UNE SOLUTION D'UN ACIDE A ANION NON OXYDANT EN PRESENCE, COMME CATALYSEUR, DE PARTICULES FINEMENT DIVISEES D'UN MATERIAU PRESENTANT UNE FAIBLE SURTENSION DE DEGAGEMENT D'HYDROGENE.CE PROCEDE PERMET NOTAMMENT DE PREPARER DES SOLUTIONS AQUEUSES DE FLUOBORATES ET DE SULFATES DE CES METAUX.
