Summary:Process for the manufacture of a granular moulded product upon which is bound (immobilised) an enzyme or a strain of a micro-organism, according to which process a liquid composition containing a a photohardenable hydrophilic resin with at least two ethylenic bonds per molecule, b a photopolymerisation inducer, c a water-soluble high-molecular-mass polysaccharide capable of forming a gel via contact with one or more polyvalent metal ions, and d an enzyme or a layer of micro-organism, is added dropwise to an aqueous medium containing a polyvalent metal ion so as to gel this composition in a granular form, and then the granular gel thus formed is irradiated with actinic light so as to harden the photohardenable resin contained in the gel.
