Summary:Programmable teaching device which permits simulation of the operation of a lift. The invention relates to a computer peripheral simulating the operation of a lift in which all the operations of the latter can be driven by a computer. It consists of a model 1 which represents a four-storey building, vertically sectioned, at the site of the lift stages. Each stage 2 comprises a door 3 which can be opened or closed, a lamp 4 which can be lit or extinguished, a loudspeaker 7. The cabin 5 has its own equipment: sensors for presence or overload 8, lamp 6. It may descend or rise. A few figures to scale 10 can be placed in the cabin or otherwise. Each order is independent of the others. The interface is driven by a microprocessor and the circuits which are associated with it. They have the role of carrying out the orders which are sent by the computer, and to advise the computer as to the condition which the simulator is in. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for teaching.
