Summary:The valve arrangement may beused to mix two fluids. The two fluids arrive separately and enter inlet pipes (1) facing each other so that the two streams of fluid flow towards each other. The mixture leaves via a single side branch (3). A mechanical or electrical valve control arrangement may be used. The mechanical system has two throttle valves (7) in the inlet pipes (1), linked together by a rod (6) passing through a membrane (5). The membrane acts to move the rod and the valves to equalise the pressure on either side of the membrane. There is a side branch on either side of the membrane. Each side branch has its own throttle valve (2), and these valves are set to regulate the proportions of the two constituents coming together in the blending chamber just downstream of the valves.
