Summary:Torch has the gas nozzle carrier sepd. from the parts, carrying the welding current, by an insulating sleeve. The insulation consists of plastic material, pref. of the thermosetting type which has been injected into the space between carrier and parts. The carrier has at least one opening for the introduction of the plastic. Such an insulation is easy to apply at low cost. This achieves reasonable heat transfer conditions and a surprisingly long life of the torch.
