The plastics unit is used for securing an element, (76) with a frame (78) enclosing a row of mesh interstices (80). It is monolithic, with a generally planar body (42), and a series of lugs (44) extending vertically from one side of this. Lugs have one or more barbed hooks (46) inclined rearwards against the body. The hooks are elastically deformable, so as to pass through the interstices of the element, but then prevent withdrawal of the frame of the element. They may be arranged in a straight line, with the body extending on both sides of this. Four or eight may be provided.
