Summary:A flax-spinning machine using the wet-spinning technique has an endless sleeve or belt disposed between a pair of feed rollers and a pair of drafting rollers. In the region of the nip of the drafting rollers, a sleeve-guide adopts the form of a plate with rounded edges. The working surface of the sleeve, disposed between the guide and the last pair of condenser rollers inclines into the plane passing through the roller axes, at an angle of 36-48 degrees. The design of the sleeve-guide and the disposition of the working surface of the sleeve provide increased yarn strength and reduce yarn strength irregularity, thus reducing the number of breakages during spinning.
