Summary:Red blood corpuscles suitable for use in haemagglutination standardisation reactions are preserved by the following process: uncentrifuged and unwashed whole blood, previously treated with an anti-coagulation agent, is treated with an aldehyde, esp. formaldehyde or glutaraldehyde, and is then centrifuged. The separated, fixed corpuscles are then lyophilised. The product is stable for long periods and the process may be effected on both normal and sensitised corpuscles. LA PRESENTE INVENTION EST RELATIVE AU PROCEDE DE CONSERVATION D'HEMATIES PAR LYOPHILISATION.CE PROCEDE SE CARACTERISE EN CE QUE L'ON TRAITE LE SANG TOTAL NON CENTRIFUGE ET NON LAVE, PREALABLEMENT RECUEILLI SUR UN AGENT ANTI-COAGULANT, PAR UN AGENT DE FIXATION TEL QU'UN ALDEHYDE, EN CE QUE L'ON CENTRIFUGE LE SANG AINSI TRAITE, POUR EN SEPARER LES HEMATIES FIXEES, ET EN CE QU'ON LYOPHILISE LES HEMATIES AINSI SEPAREES.LES HEMATIES AINSI PREPAREES SONT UTILISEES DANS DES REACTIONS D'HEMAGGLUTINATION.
