Summary:The generator comprises a closed pressure vessel (10) having a heat exchanger (16) including an electric heating element (25) and fins (18) extending to the walls of the pressure vessel. Staggered openings in the fins form a passageway (51) for continuously injecting a predetermined amount of a liq. hydrocarbon into the pressure vessel. A valve (20) is positioned in an opening in the pressure vessel, and is in communication with the intake manifold of the I.C. engine. A linkage (45) moves the valve from a closed position to an open position in conjunction with the engine combustion air throttle. A predetermined amount of water is injected (50) into the pressure vessel, the steam/vaporised fuel mixt. passing via filter (22) to chamber (11a).
