Summary:The packing carton is for a vehicle lead-acid accumulator. It is constructed of a material which is capable of withstanding the weight of the battery, around which it is folded after production, and incorporates a pair of handles to facilitate carriage. The carton may be coloured and decorated so as to give an attractive appearance to the battery. The carton may also carry the manufacturer's guarantee, as well as warnings relating to handling and use and installation instructions. It is pref. constructed of corrugated or cellular cardboard, which in addition to withstandinq the weight of the battery is itself light, and will absorb any slight spillages of electrolyte which may occur. Large scale electrolyte leakage will be indicated by disintegration of the carton.
