Fusion temp. of (A) is below hardening temp. range of (B). Component proportions, by vol., are 12.5-37.5% abrasive, 30-60% metallic filler, 5-30% (A), balance (B). Tools can be used for grinding heat-resistant alloys, hard alloys, cemented and nitrided steels. nA) addn. increases grinding tool strength. Abrasive wear is reduced. On heating, (A) acts as a flux and destroys oxide layers on metallic filler particles, thus helping to increase tool conductivity.
