Summary:The heat pump has a shaft which carries the rotor of an electric motor (3). A compressor piston (12) is driven by the large shaft section (15) and a plunger (7) is driven by the small section (16). The compressor forces gas through a heat exchanger (6) and through a regenerator within the plunger to an outer cylinder. Each section of the shaft has two helical grooves (19, 20, 23, 24). The piston has two pins (21, 22) which run in one set of grooves. A sleeve (14) which drives the plunger has pins (25, 26) running in the second set of grooves. Dispositif à cycle Stirling.
