Summary:The phase modulator for the transmission of digital signals has n phase states corresponding to n distinct logic words. A logic multiplexer comprises n inputs to which these signals are applied for transmission of a digitally encoded message using n words. A clock controls operation of the system using a frequency of nF. L'invention concerne les modulateurs de phase recevant des signaux numériques. Le modulateur de phase selon l'invention comporte un générateur logique de signaux porteurs décalés en phase, égaux en nombre à celui des états de phase souhaités, et un multiplexeur logique de ces signaux dans le temps en fonction des mots d'information logiques à transmettre qui en constituent l'adresse. Application aux systèmes de transmission exploités sur des fréquences porteuses pouvant être rapidement variables.
