Summary:The device includes a charge-receiving hopper located above the furnace, with an inlet hopper between them. The outlet of the inlet hopper is closed by a bell which is suspended from a rod extending through the receiving hopper wherein it is protected from the charge by a series of guard rings. The bell rod is in turn dependant from parallel suspension rods. Immediately below the receiving hopper there is an outlet of adjustable size and shape formed by multiple downwardly converging sector shaped shields surrounding the bell rod. The shields are mounted in guideways and are mechanically actuated to be movable in their own plane. The system normally provides for uniform peripheral distribution of charge but can when necessary provide for charging a batch to a particular area at the top of the stack. It also provides an extended service life. L'invention concerne la métallurgie. Le dispositif faisant l'objet de l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un système de fermeture réglable de l'orifice de sortie de trémie réceptrice 9, constitué par des panneaux sectoriels 12 formant ensemble une surface en forme d'entonnoir et un espace annulaire réglable 15 autour d'une bague protectrice conique engagée sur la barre 6, ces panneaux étant montés chacun dans un guidage 11 et liés cinématiquement à des commandes respectives assurant leur déplacement longitudinal L'invention permet notamment de simplifier la construction du dispositif de chargement, d'augmenter sa durée de service et sa fiabilité.
