Summary:The foot switch controls the drive to a dentist's drill having a footplate actuating the switch when depressed against spring action, together with an adjusting member, also foot controlled. There is an opening (9) in the footplate (2) through which protrudes a cylindrical roller (10), coupled to the adjusting member (12). The roller spindle (11) is parallel to the plane of the opening and to the front edge (6) of the footplate. The roller can be arranged to run in bearings on the underside of the footplate, and the member can be a rotary potentiometer, of which the roller spindle forms the axis. L'invention concerne un dispositif de commutation à pied destiné à la commande d'un appareil de dentiste et en particulier d'une fraise de dentiste, comprenant une plaque de pied portant un commutateur que l'on peut actionner en appuyant avec le pied sur la plaque à l'encontre de la force d'un ressort, et un organe de régulation qui est également manoeuvrable avec le pied; la plaque 2 présente une ouverture 9 par laquelle fait saillie sur son côté supérieur un tambour 10 cylindrique monté rotatif et couplé à l'organe de régulation 12 dont l'axe de rotation 11 est disposé parallèment au plan de l'ouverture 9 et du rebord avant 6 de la plaque 2.
