Procédés de préparation du 2,6-di-t-butylphénol. On alcoyle du phénol en présence du mono-butylphénol et d'un catalyseur tel que l'aluminium dissous dans le phénol, en abaissant progressivement la température de 120 à 50 degrés C et en réduisant la concentration en isobutylène du mélange de butènes isomères de 80 à 1,5 % en moles. Application à l'obtention de stabilisateurs des matériaux polymères. A method for preparing 2,6-ditert.butylphenol which comprises alkylation of phenol in the presence of monotert.-butylphenol and a catalyst, viz. aluminium dissolved in phenol with gradually lowering the process temperature from 120 DEG to 50 DEG C and reducing the concentration of isobutylene in the mixture of isomeric butenes from 80 to 1.5 mol.%, followed by isolation of the desired product.
