Summary:Arranged between a cylindrical handle (1) and a likewise cylindrical bar (2) is a rotationally symmetrical intermediate piece (3). In the bar (2) there is an electric heating element (4) at whose one end a heating plate (6) is arranged, against which a wick (7) is pressed, which protrudes from a water container (8). The latter is screwed into the bar (2) by means of a thread (9). Provided in the bar (2) are a plurality of holes (10) through which air and/or steam can pass, as a result of which the hair surrounding the bar (2) is moistened or heated. The hair (11) is pressed against the bar (2) by means of a clamp (12) resting on the intermediate piece (3). Arranged in the intermediate piece (3) is a fan wheel (14) which is driven by a motor (15) which is located in the handle (1) and can be connected via a cable (16) to a source of electricity. The air supply for the fan wheel (14) takes place via ventilation apertures (17) in the intermediate piece (3), while the air discharge is carried out via ventilation apertures (18) in the intermediate piece (3) and via the air duct between the heating element (4) and the bar (2). By pressing the wick (7) against the heating plate (6), the water from the wick (7) is evaporated. The hair is moistened by the steam emerging through the holes (10). On completion of the steam generation, the hair can be dried by further heating of the heating element (4). To accelerate this drying process, the fan wheel (14) is switched on.
