Summary:Method of cladding the bore of a metal (steel) tube with glass in which the tube is heated and glass bulbs are expanded against the inner tube surface by means of the increasing pressure of the contd. gas until the tubes burst, as described in the parent patent, whereby as the clad tube leaves the hot zone it is cooled with gas sprayed from a probe placed centrally inside the bore of the tube to gain improved adhesion.
