Summary:Foot switch for dental equipment has a tilting pedal equipped with a footplate which releases the switch starting the dental equipment when the pedal is depressed. The pedal can be depressed selectively to one side or the other, on one side it decreases the drive speed whilst on the other side it increases it. Pref. the drive direction of a servo motor is changed in each position thus adjusting a potentiometer to set the drive speed of the dental equipment. A second pedal is provided which depresses simultaneously with the first one to release a switch for a second piece of equipment combined with the first one.
