Summary:In a method for establishing the interface between two differently conditioned liqs., esp. water, using electrical conductivity measurements, the electrical resistance of the liq. is determined by a bridge circuit in each of two equal lengths of a flow path of the liq. which lie one after the other. The bridge circuits generate an electrical signal as a result of a difference in the resistance they measure and the signal is fed to an indication, or control element. The detector is unaffected by the comparatively slow variations in dissolved chlorine, oxygen, sodium sulphate etc. occasioned by outside influences. Max. utilisation of exchange resin and min. consumption of regenerating soln. is achieved. Reduced content of dissolved salts is achieved.
