Summary:A system for production of sandwich type wall construction elements e.g. a composite wall unit for use in multi-storey buildings having two external skins surrounding a central foamed material core, has one of the external skins formed on a press to produce a central hollow space into which a synthetic plastics foamed material is sprayed. The space is then temporarily closed up and later reopened after the foaming process has occurred to allow a specific time for drying the foamed material. A second skin is then attached across the foamed material to complete the wall element.
