Summary: | The invention relates to compounds with the general formula I, and physiologically suitable salts and solvates thereof, in which formula X is a C1-7 alkylene, C2-7 alkenylene or C2-7 alkynylene chain; Y is a bond or a C1-6 alkylene, C2-6 alkenylene or C2-6 alkynylene chain, provided that the total number of carbon atoms in the chains X and Y is 5, 6 or 7; R1 and R2 independently of each other denote a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; Q is HCO-, CH3CO-, NH2CO- (CH3)2NSO2- or CH3SO2-; and Ar is a phenyl group substituted with a group which is chosen from the following: amino, dimethylamino, nitro, morpholino, (CH2)qNHCOR6 (where R6 is C1-4 alkyl and q is zero or 1), -NHSO2R7 (where R7 is C1-4 alkyl), -COR8 (where R8 is C1-4 alkoxy, or -NR3R4, where R3 and R4 are both C1-4 alkyls or NR3R4 forms a piperidine ring), CH2CONR3R4 (where R3 and R4 are both C1-4 alkyls), -SR9 (where R9 is C1-4 alkyl) or -(CH2)rR10 (where r is 3 and R10 is C1-4 alkoxy), or Ar is 3,5-dihydroxyphenyl or 3- methoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl, or where X and/or Y is an alkenylene or alkynylene group. Ar can also be a phenyl group, which has optionally been substituted with a fluorine atom. These compounds have a selectively stimulating action on β2-adrenoreceptors and can be used inter alia in the treatment of diseases associated with reversible airway obstruction, such as asthma and chronic bronchitis. |
