Summary:A ship's propeller shaft clutch for separating or making a drive connection between a drive machine and a propeller, in which the clutch (6) is a toothed coupling with externally toothed coupling hubs (11,12) and an inner toothed coupling sleeve (13) axially displaceable on the coupling hubs (11,12). The teeth of the coupling hubs (11,12) and the coupling sleeve (13) are made wedge-shaped in the width direction so that the flank play in the toothing can be adjusted during shifting of the coupling sleeve (13) through its displacement path.
