The handle comprises a core part and at least one cover plate fixed to the core part. The core part has a substantially rectangular cross-section and at least one recess formed therein in at least one side of the core part. The cover plate is situated on the side of the core part wherein the recess is formed such that at least one closed cavity is formed in the handle.
